Are you tired of your character's appearance? Want to look like your favourite Star Wars hero? Want a new look for the summer? Too tall? Too short? Seek out an entertainer and they can assist you with increased character customisation appearance options via the image design session. This week we take a peek at what's behind the image design process!

So what do I need to do first?
You'll need to be grouped with an entertainer so that they can use the /image command or the hotkey to initiate the Image Design session.

So what can I change?
There are a large variety of options depending upon your chosen species. Skin colour, markings, fur patterns, horns, lekku, facial structure, body morphology and other cosmetic changes can all be changed to provide additional appearance options beyond what was available to you at character creation.

Currently you are able to customize the following options:

Body Weight

Body Height

Body Muscle

Eye colour

Lekku layout

Ears

Eye size

Eye Angle

Facial Hair

Tattoo's

Horns (Race specific)

Fur colour (Wookiees)

Skin colour

Eyebrows

Comestic makeup

Torso

Facial structure

Below we will answer some common questions you may have about the image design system!

Q: I've seen a certain hairstyle on an NPC of my species. Will I be able to do that?
A: Not necessarily. Some NPC hairstyles are not available for players. In particular, Zabrak females often have horn-and-hair hybrids that look like human hairstyles with horns added - most of these are unfortunately not available for players.

Q: Where can I find an entertainer to image design me?
A: The best place to find an entertainer would be around Mos Eisley or the various cantinas within the galaxy. Perhaps you have an entertainer in your player guild?

If you're uncertain of what changes an Image Designer can make, tell the entertainer in advance. They'll then be better prepared to discuss the options available to help you achieve that perfect look. Dozens of possible combinations await you.

I find the color pallet selections almost too small to reliably use, would there be a way to magnify the pallet when the mouse is over it? or maybe just larger color pads with scroll bars to move the window? Also being able to use the arrow keys to select colors would be nice.

i wish we could have black color for the eyes, the darkest thing i have is brown. and i wish we had more hairstyles too. and tattoos for humans.

I did a little UI mod to the image design window for selecting colors. It's not very pretty, but it gets the job done! The color palette boxes will get larger as you expand the window instead of the viewer becoming larger. Everything else remains the original size, so hair selection may be a bit more difficult but at least those are a fairly big size already.

I honestly would like the boobs and butt adjustments to be bigger. Doesn't have to be cartoonishly big.

Honestly? The ability to make human eyes red, and skin blue, would be amazing. I've always wanted to play a Chiss.

I'll be stoked when we get to the point of having the new hairstyles etc that we had in the entertainer update on live come in :)

And i still would love to be able to ID vendors

Excellent, can't wait to try this out on a guinea pig ...I mean customer. Those small hit zones always were hard to select, and as I get older they are even worse
